From 1976 to 1981, he worked at Bâloise Holding AG in Basel, then from 1981 at UBS AG, progressively taking on positions of greater responsibility until his appointment in 1999 as Regional Director of UBS Ticino and Head of Wealth Management Swiss Clients, a role he left at the end of 2014.
Since 2015, he has been an independent member of the Board of Directors of Banca del Sempione SA. He is a Major in the Swiss Armed Forces.
On May 3, 2021, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banca del Sempione SA.
