Excellent 2017 results for Banca del Sempione SA

Banca del Sempione SA’s general meeting of shareholders held on 26 April 2018 approved the Parent company’s and the Group’s accounts for the year 2017. The results showed significant growth in all business areas and consolidated earnings up by 13.6% to CHF 8.008 million.

This was made possible thanks to significant growth in revenues exceeding CHF 45 million (+23.5%), which were positively impacted by an increase in commission income earned on managing the funds of Base Investments SICAV sponsored by Banca del Sempione SA. The Group’s SICAV gained significant recognition during 2017 thanks to the performance achieved over the past 3-5 years.

The rise in revenues was then followed by a more limited increase in costs (+9.8%) related to investment in human and technological resources which generated very positive results right from the start.

Client assets also increased remarkably showing Net New Money related to the bank’s core business at last year’s levels (CHF 286.9 million).
